HADES Hot Sauce Is Here! - Aug. 28, 2009
Fresh on the heels of the announcement that the original HADES lineup is reuniting for two shows in April 2010 comes HADES hot sauce.

Seriously, what band name invokes heat more than HADES?

HADES hot sauce (Persephone's Fire) was created, not just as another novelty hot sauce that burns your mouth, but as a real tasteful hot sauce with a smokey flavor.

Commented vocalist Alan Tecchio: "There are lots of hot sauces out there that try to out-burn each other. Persephone's Fire actually tastes great but still carries some kick for those that like it hot."

To purchase HADES hot sauce, click here, or for large orders, call (902) 482-0900.

In other news, HADES members Tecchio and Tom Coombs (drums) can be heard live this evening at Pibco at 9:00 p.m. EST. This will the first interview the band has done since announcing the reunion of the original "Resisting Success" lineup for two shows next year.

...what is it about coffee and hot sauce that so many are promoting + selling their own brands of it?

I mean, why not Hades handi-wipes or strawberry jelly, for that matter?

Are all metalheads java and hot-sauce junkies?

I'm going to take a guess that it's a product that can be marketed easily without a lot of costs involved.

Could also be something like they're just putting their name on the label, but it's not their recipe. It's just a "one size fits all" type of thing. A company makes the sauce, but anyone willing to pay can slap their name on it. The same goes for coffee (or even wedding napkins or shoes). These two items always seem to be used as novelty items.

It'd be cool if someone from the band was actually involved in making the sauce. Are there any sauces out there where the bands involved have actually made the sauce using their recipe?

I believe the guitar player from Aerosmith has a brand of hot sauces too, and I think I read somewhere those were their recipes because he's like some kind of a hot sauce freak...

And regarding the sugar and fruit taking away the hot, that's not true... it seems you haven't tried any mango or pear chutny... and you oughta!!!!! hahaha

some are hot but not when adding apple juice and molasses in it as well. I have in my fridge right now over 30 bottles of hot sauces and grow my own Fatallis, Nagas, and Trinidad Scorpions. I tried everything from mild to super hot. Oh boy the way the label also says MILD WILD.

Did you read the ingredients? In case you didn't Tomatoes , Apple juice, Vinegar , Brown Sugar, Papaya puree , Garlic, Habs , Molasses, salt, Lime etc.. How many of the ingredients are sweet? Compared to how many different peepers are in the sauce. Typically the list of ingredients are listed by the amount in the sauce most to least

I just love coffee, and I drink alot of it during my show. Anyone on my show also seems to REALLY like my coffee. While its true I dont actually roast the beans, it is my blend proportions of a few types of roasts are what makes it so awesome. And if all goes well, Ill have my line avail to all soon. But what I do have of that interview before an unfortunate server related problem is up on our page: http://www.myspace.com/beanerandweevil till this Fri's show airs. Along with some great old 80's era PROPHECY, PROWLER, ANTHRAX, RAVEN, NON-FICTION, MUCKY PUP, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, WATCHTOWER, MEGADETH, TESTAMENT, and SLAYER. The REAL Great Debate is on www.pibco1.com every Fri 9pmEST.
