DUFF MCKAGAN Joins SLASH On Stage In Seattle (Video) - July 14, 2012
Duff McKagan joined his VELVET REVOLVER and ex-GUNS N' ROSES bandmate Slash on stage last night (Friday, July 13) at Showbox SoDo in Seattle, Washington to perform two GN'R classics, "It's So Easy" and "Paradise City".

After the show, Slash took to his Twitter account to say, "Thanks to Duff McKagan for coming down & jamming a couple tunes as well. Made it a perfect night. #itssoeasy#"

Original GN'R members Slash, McKagan and Steven Adler, along with later members Matt Sorum and Gilby Clarke, performed three songs at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio in April. They were joined on vocals by Myles Kennedy, who sings in Slash's solo band. GUNS N' ROSES lead singer Axl Rose skipped the induction and declined to be inducted along with the rest of the group.

VELVET REVOLVER has still not found a replacement vocalist following the departure of Scott Weiland in 2008 and is more or less on hiatus, although it was revealed that the group recorded an album's worth of material with STONE SOUR and SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor.

I wish I could get a track of them performing at the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony and remove Miles' voice and put Axl's over it.

Why? Because the lyric is about ONE person, first of all. Secondly, it's not a down home southern fried shit kicking ditty.

"I see you standin', you think you're so cool, why don't YOU just... FUCK OFF!"

But for the people that gave me a thumbs down for pointing out the obvious. Why don't Y'ALL dumbfucks just... FUCK OFF!

Quick poll:

Which concert would you go to?

These 2 bands are playing tonight in your hometown. Let's say they are both 10 minutes from your home in opposite directions. All things being equal, same price, parking, etc. You have no school/work/commitments tomorrow.

Click "thumbs up" for "Guns": Slash, Duff, Gilby, Adler (or Matt or both), and Myles. All GnR music.

Click "thumbs down" for Guns N Roses: Axl and his hired hands

Vote now.

I would vote for Slash & Co. (and not just because Axl would make me wait 3 hours). At the RnR HoF, they killed it on a moments notice. Imagine what they could do if they were actually trying.

Axl & his gang are all over produced, 3 guitars, female backup singers, keyboards. Slash's GnR is just In-Your-Face ROCK. Not the soft stuff Axl is peddling.

And it would be all the good classic GnR, none of that 'Chinese Democracy' crap no one cares about. You think anyone is going to a GnR show hoping they play 'Riad N' The Bedouins' or 'IRS'? No. People wanna hear the good stuff, "Out Ta Get Me", "Nighttrain", the classics. ROCK.

There's 2 LA Guns bands, 3 Great WHite bands and really no one gives a shit about all four. GnR is different. They are better. I think the world is ready for 2 GnR bands and I think Slash's would be more successful (and not just because they would churn out killer albums less than every 20 years).

Slash & Co. Hands down.

- Wouldn't have to wait 3 hours.
- Performers are not ungrateful pricks.
- Axl sounds like Mickey Mouse.
- Don't care for Axl's hired Guns to do gutiar and drum solos.

I was hoping for the best but that screechy skiddish voice saying "Why dontchy'all f^ck off" isn't working. The audience is barely moving. Also "easyea-A"? Snoop Dog could sing that better.

On the other hand, always like seeing Duff!

Notice that no one complains that Alice uses 3 guitars and a bassist. Catch a show, it works, like it works for GN'R.

Those of you who are bitching about Myles' voice need to clean your ears out. Dude has the best voice in modern rock, hands down. Whether it's with Slash, Alter Bridge, or his previous band the Mayfield Four, he's pretty much untouchable. The only person I can think of that comes close is Ian Thornley, who is a bad ass in his own right.

Unfortunately I can hear him all too well. Just because he has range doesn't mean that the tone of his voice isn't annoying as all fuckin' get out... y'all.
