DETHKLOK returns this fall with "Metalocalypse: Dethklok Dethalbum III", the highly anticipated album that fans of the animated band have been begging for. The stars of the Adult Swim series "Metalocalypse" will unleash 12 brand new tracks, set to hit stores throughout North America on October 16 from Williams Street Records.

"Dethalbum III" was once again co-produced by "Metalocalypse" co-creator Brendon Small and DETHKLOK producer Ulrich Wild ("Dethalbum" and "Dethalbum II"). The cover art was also illustrated by "Dethalbum" and "Dethalbum II" cover artist Antonio Canobbio.

"Dethalbum III" will not only be released in its original CD and digital format, but also as a deluxe-edition CD/DVD and a clean version of the CD. The deluxe-edition CD/DVD will include a 32-minute behind-the-scenes documentary of the making of "Dethalbum III", as well as music videos and much more. A vinyl edition of the album with special etching will be released on November 6.

MACHINE HEAD recently filmed a video for the song "Darkness Within" in the Czech Republic. The track comes off the band's new album, "Unto The Locust", which sold more than 17,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 22 on The Billboard 200 chart — putting MACHINE HEAD in the Top 25 for the first time in the band's 17-year history.

MACHINE HEAD is currently seeking a new label home following the expiration of the band's contract with longtime record company Roadrunner Records.

MACHINE HEAD's unauthorized biography, "Inside The Machine", is set for worldwide release on October 15 by Omnibus Press. The author, Joel McIver, has previously written books about and in co-operation with artists such as SLAYER, TOOL, MOTÖRHEAD, BLACK SABBATH and many other rock and metal legends, including the bestselling 2004 volume "Justice For All: The Truth About Metallica". The book features a foreword by ex-MACHINE HEAD drummer Chris Kontos.

This tour just needs more zazz. I mean, they could stand to zazz it up a little.

Machine Head should be headlining that tour. Even The Black Dahlia Murder are better than Deathkok!

Looks to be a really strong line-up. I'm a bit surprised at who the headliner is. I would have expected MH to be the headliner or ATR (regrettably) as the headliner. Either way, with such a strong line-up and a show just an hour away in Worcester, I'm there!

Machine Head, ATR and The Black Dahlia Murder shouldn't be opening for a fucking cartoon. Why don't they resurrect Davy Jones and bring back The Monkees so these bands could open for them next. Neither one is a real fucking band.

If the music business wasn't fucked before, it certainly is now.

As much as I enjoy Metalocalypse, would have preferred if MH headlined. ATR is a bit of a random pick as well.

If Machine Head can open for Metallica, who haven't released a metal album in 20 years, they can open for Dethklok.

Only difference is Dethklok is supposed to be a JOKE band.

but it is a cartoon and it does raise questions about why a parody band is headlining over serious metal bands. I just recently got Brendon Small's Galatikon or whatever it's called and I really like it so I'm not a hater or anything. I think Metalocolypse is a funny show and the music is decent, but silly, which is fine too. I guess it will hopefully introduce people who don't usually listen to extreme metal to a whole new world of music.

The only reason why Dethklok is headlining is not due to talent, even though there is plenty of talent in the band, nor because they are better or any kind of way fans measure these things, but merely they have the biggest live show set up. They require major projectors and major set up in order for their concert to take place the way that Brandon would want it to be. Im guessing since this will be their first major headlining tour that theyre planning a bigger stage show. So its because of that factor that they are headlining,

At least Machine Head will get the bigger dressing room.

It is interesting to note that since Lamb of God dropped off the tour it has been downsized from small arenas such as the Civic here in SF to theaters. It's now a four band bill but without LoG attendance expectations are half of what they were. How much longer can Machine Head remain a third tier band in the US? They deserve to be headlining and I don't mean theaters - Machine Head are one of a few bands that should be stepping in to fill the shoes of Maiden, Metallica, Ozzy and other arena acts. They've got the songs, the stage presence ...is Houston just a shitty manager? Probably not since they had Rick Sales (Slayer) for a bit and that didn't help - but they were wiggas at the time so...
Europe gets it and those that have been following MH for years get it, so what is with the rest of the USA?? I like Slipknot but c'mon ...put them in a battle and MH would win with half the members! Oh well at least it will be a true hometown gig,a real downtown Oaktown beatdown!
