Former VITAL REMAINS Guitarist DAVE SUZUKI Resurfaces In CHURCHBURN - Oct. 5, 2012
CHURCHBURN is the musical collaboration between two of the undergrounds masters of misery Dave Suzuki, best known for his mesmerizing guitar work and brutal drumming in VITAL REMAINS and Ray McCaffrey, who carved out sonic drum patterns for SIN OF ANGELS and GRIEF. The two have set out to share with the world their love of the riff, not only the heaviest but also the most haunting. Each song is crafted with the most sinister of intent. CHURCHBURN wants the listener to feel a true sense of dread as the song progresses.

"CHURCHBURN is very different from VITAL REMAINS," says Suzuki. "Ray and I wanted to do something slow and heavy...just something pummeling to the listener."

CHURCHBURN is:

Dave Suzuki – Guitar, Vocals
Ray Mccaffrey - Drums, Vocals

This makes me wonder how would a polymath (Google it, kids) band sound like… Suzuki and Nicke Andersson FTW!

You thought Dave Suzuki and Tim Yeung were the same person. Shame on me.

Vital Remains are one of my favorite bands, and Suzuki is an absolute beast on any instrument he touches. Great stuff

Sounds sick! I like his work with Vital Remains and it's nice seeing that Suzuki has such a good musical taste beyond VR. Churchburn sound awesome and is something i didn't expect from Dave so extra kudos for him.

It's like when my favorite shredders/vocalists/drummers disappear for a long time, and I'm just dying to hear new shit from them, they do the exact opposite of what I'm expecting. It's mostly a good thing too.
