HELLOWEEN: New Album Track Listing Revealed - Oct. 9, 2012
German power metallers HELLOWEEN will release their new album, "Straight Out Of Hell", on January 18, 2013. The CD was once again helmed by the band's longtime producer Charlie Bauerfeind at HELLOWEEN singer Andi Deris's Mi Sueño Studios in Tenerife, Spain.

According to HELLOWEEN, "Straight Out Of Hell" will feature "13 mostly fast-paced songs — impressively multi-layered due to their different songwriters."

Commented guitarist Michael Weikath:" 'Straight Out Of Hell' is the consequent development of the two albums before.

"The new songs are a continuation of the '7 Sinners' directives, only less doom-bound and noticeably more positive. These songs will kick even the laziest listener's ass."

The best example of HELLOWEEN's ability to think outside the box of metal cliché is the first single from "Straight Out Of Hell", a song called "Nabataea". The legendary kingdom and its secret capital Petra — hidden behind cliff scenery and only discovered at the beginning of the 20th century — are the origin of many myths and legends. "Nabataea" is the perfect shape of great music to come and will deliver an epic video clip, yet to be shot.

Apart from the standard album, there will be a limited edition featuring premium packaging and two bonus tracks: "Another Shot Of Life" and a Hammond version of "Burning Sun" in memory of DEEP PURPLE's recently deceased organ player Jon Lord.

"Straight Out Of Hell" track listing:

01. Nabataea (7:03)
02. World Of War (4:56)
03. Live Now! (3:10)
04. Far From The Stars (4:41)
05. Burning Sun (5:33)
06. Waiting For The Thunder (3:53)
07. Hold Me In Your Arms (5:10)
08. Wanna Be God (2:02)
09. Straight Out Of Hell (4:33)
10. Asshole (4:09)
11. Years (4:22)
12. Make Fire Catch The Fly (4:22)
13. Church Breaks Down (6:06)

Bonus tracks (limited edition):

14. Another Shot Of Life
15. Burning Sun (Hammond version) (dedicated to Jon Lord)

HELLOWEEN previously promised that its new new album would be "much more than a fine follow-up to the highly acclaimed 'Gambling With The Devil' and '7 Sinners' albums. Bombastic epic pieces have been worked on as well as ultrafast heavy songs and mid-tempo anthems."

HELLOWEEN will join forces with GAMMA RAY for the "Hellish Rock Part II" tour starting in March.

"7 Sinners", the 13th studio album from HELLOWEEN, sold around 1,900 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 7 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

I agree. There are some really good songs in both Pink Bubbles Go Ape and Chameleon if you try to dig them in a proper way.

Let it go man, Kiske left nigh on 20 years ago! They've made some cracking albums since ( and the last couple with Kiske were pretty dodgy to be fair ). Really looking forward to this.

...Helloween really never dissapoints. They have delivered everything to make a rock/metal fan happy since the first album, and for those who don't like Chameleon, just listen to the song called "Giants", a masterpiece.
Besides, for those who don't like Andi Deris, he gave new life to Helloween, and brought back the heaviness lost for the last couple of albums recorded with Kiske, plus he's very charismatic and have his own style.

Up the pumpkins!!!

HellOween always delivers, amazing band. I've seen them live in the US & in Europe and they blew me away everytime. For the amount of lineup changes they've had - Weikath/Grosskopf have done an amazing job of keeping it all together.

Kiske was and is a great singer, but in regards to Helloween, he is not missed (no disrespect). Deris belts out these songs like he was there from day 1.

As a side note, I still listen to Pink Bubbles Go Ape & Chameleon. Great albums - unfairly looked down on imo. One of the posts above mentioned the song Giants. I'd add "Revolution Now" to that & from PBGO: Mankind, Someone's Crying and The Chance.

Their one big mistake?......Unarmed.
