JOHN CORABI: 'Unplugged' Version Of MÖTLEY CRÜE's 'Hooligan's Holiday' Streaming - Oct. 9, 2012
Best known for his vocal work with THE SCREAM, MÖTLEY CRÜE and UNION, legendary hard rock vocalist John Corabi serves up a passionate, soulful dose of both new and classic songs on this all-new acoustic release. Due on November 13 via Rat Pak Records, "Unplugged" offers five new original tracks, seven re-recorded classic songs and in addition, features an exclusive 2012 behind-the-scenes interview with John. The album features John Corabi on vocals/guitar, Cheney Brannon (formerly of COLLECTIVE SOUL) on percussion/vocals, Topher Nolen on bass/vocals, D.A. Karkos on guitar/vocals, Matt Farley on percussion/vocals and Bruce Kulick (KISS, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD) on guitar (on "Hoolgan's Holiday" and "Man In The Moon").

"Unplugged" track listing:

01. Love (I Don't Need It Anymore)
02. If I Never Get To Say Goodbye
03. Are You Waiting?

05. Everything's All Right
06. Father, Mother, Son
07. Hooligan's Holiday
08. If I Had A Dime
09. Loveshine
10. Man In The Moon
11. Open Your Eyes
12. I Never Loved Her Anyway

Video footage of John Corabi and his solo band performing the song "If I Had A Dime" from his "Unplugged" CD on August 18 at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan can be seen below. The clip was shot and edited by Scott Nolen.

Corabi originally joined CRÜE in 1992 as the replacement for the group's original singer, Vince Neil, who was fired due to personal differences. With Corabi on vocals, MÖTLEY CRÜE released one critically acclaimed full-length CD, which ended up being a commercial failure in the wake of grunge despite a Top-Ten placing on the album chart. When Neil returned to the fold in 1997, Corabi was left on his own and formed the band UNION with ex-KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick.

I really love John's voice (one of, if not, the best Crue records), and the unplugged songs sound great, but I really, really want him to get off his butt and release a straight up rock record already....on a personal note, I would also love to hear him do a cover of a Back in Black/For Those About to Rock era song, just to hear what it would sound like

Works perfectly with the simple sound of acoustic guitar.

He's giving this music flavor with quirky percussion and some basic background vocals. This is really geared towards fans of American rock n' roll filled with soul.

In a perfect world, Corabi's sound would be even more stripped down. I'd have him sounding dark. That's just me though.

Oh man does this make me laugh. Seriously what is this guys obsession with this song. It sucked in 95 and it sucks now. The guys career is playing houligans holiday.

Both versions of the song are great. Corabi did a fine job in Motley Crue and it's a shame that album got panned as much as it did.

I don't get why Corabi can't get a band together and write a killer hard rock album though?! (I know someone already mentioned this) He's turning into Paul Di'anno except less douchey.

Yeah, I agree with what Sadistkexekution pinpals said – Corabi should form a new band and create new music. The Motley 94 record is really good, the Scream album was kinda cool and both Union albums, especially the first one, are great (although a bit too grungy perhaps). He should be able to get a real good rocking album out there.

Also, his performances with the Eric Singer Project is awesome, but it's all covers.

Best idea I've seen from a Blabbermouth poster in ages. Perhaps ever.

The Crue CD with Corabi is a damn fine CD! I think if they didn't put it out as a Crue CD it would have better received. Still great after all these years.

I always dug the Corabi Crue record. It just wasn't cheesy enough for most die hard crue heads. I love that Mick Mars cited that as his favorite Crue record. Sorry Vince.....

Love this guys voice. The Scream was great, the Crue CD was great, but the Union songs were weak, especially The Blue Room. Looking forward to this.

I say lay off the acoustic crap! This guy is a straight up hard rocker, and released one of the hardest/loudest Cure album ever released so pick up your electric guitar and blow the hard rockin' brains out of your fans man!
