QUEENSRŸCHE Guitarist's WRATCHET HEAD: Previously Unreleased Demo Tracks Posted Online - Oct. 12, 2012
QUEENSRŸCHE guitarist Michael Wilton has posted two previously unreleased demo tracks from his side project WRATCHET HEAD. Check out "Doomsday" (originally slated to be the B-side of the "Coming For You" single) and "Defy" below.

WRATCHET HEAD made its live debut on December 3, 2010 at Showbox SoDo in Seattle, Washington as part of KISW's Holiday Hangover Le-BALL-ski with HELLYEAH and HAIL THE VILLAIN.

WRATCHET HEAD released its first single, "Coming For You", on September 14, 2010 via iTunes. Mixed by renowned East Coast engineer Jonathan Wyman and mastered by Grammy-nominated mastering engineer Adam Ayan, the track "offers the true metal fan a new spin on Michael's legendary sound of hard rock," according to a press release. "Add to that the uniquely talented Rane Stone on vocals, drummer Adam Clark, guitarist Jesse Paul, bassist Steve Jackson, and you are in for a real treat!"

"Coming For You" was described as "a prelude to an amazing, thought-provoking and well-written heavy rock album" which will appeal to "the millions of QUEENSRŸCHE fans whose ears have longed to once again be filled with the classic, melodic and sometimes haunting sounds of 'the earlier years.'"

Rat Pak Records previously stated about the upcoming CD, "Without giving too much away, we can tell you that this new offering will in no way mirror any of Michael's recent work. From its musical conceptions to its presentation, WRATCHET HEAD will be an entirely new interpretation of exactly what you would hope and expect to hear from an artist whose roots run deep in the hard rock/heavy metal genres."

Other songtitles set to appear on the album include "Your Confession", "All for You", "Only Human", "Broken" and "Black and Cold".

WRATCHET HEAD is:

Rane Stone - Vocals
Michael Wilton - Guitar
Jesse Paul - Guitar
Steve Jackson - Bass
Adam Clark - Drums

You sure these tracks aren't from the mid-90s or something? These songs just mad me sad, almost as sad as when I heard about Michael Wilton brand coffee.

They must be old tracks or the gang is stuck in the mid 90's. Totally outdated, and pretty weak vocals. Riffs and drums are okay I suppose. Thank god he is focused on the musicality and band chemistry he has with Jackson, Rockenfield, and Parker on the new queensryche now.

If he is their chief song writer they are in serious trouble. That really, really sucked.

Sounds like a poor man's 90's Machine Head. Wasn't expecting anything great though because I've always heard that this side project sucked ass.

Why posting those demos now? Like sort of a teaser for things to come? Those songs are bad, very bad.

Sorry whip, if you think leaking this might boost public opinion during your crisis, it wont. I would remove this from the net.

Perhaps it's a good thing that he's contributed so little to Queensryche albums in the past.

I wouldn't expect it to sound like QR, it's a side project.
This does disprove Tates claim that he was the only creative force in QR.
But then again we all knew he was full of shit anyway, being merely a lyricist.

god, this style of music that is so prominent today is just awful.
Trying to figure out which is worse - this or the last Queensryche album. It's very close.
