NONPOINT's New Album Lands On BILLBOARD Chart - Oct. 17, 2012
The new self-titled album from NONPOINT sold 7,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 62 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous CD, "Miracle" (2010), opened with around 8,000 units to land at No. 60.

"Nonpoint" was produced/mixed by Grammy-nominated producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, STAIND, MEGADETH) and features additional production and mixing from Brian Virtue (30 SECONDS TO MARS, CHEVELLE). The CD contains 12 of the most raw and real songs of their 15-year career with unique, uncompromising, and undeniable hard rock on their self-titled ninth studio album and first for Razor & Tie. Weathering lineup changes, label shifts, and other trials and tribulations, founding members Elias Soriano (vocals) and Robb Rivera (drums) regrouped with fresh blood — Dave Lizzio (guitar), Adam Wolosyzn (bass), and Rasheed Thomas (guitar) — and captured pure fire this time around.

NONPOINT is currently on the road for a headline tour that will run through November. The band recently wrapped a summer run with CALL ME NO ONE.

Soriano explains the new album, "We wanted this record to be a punch in the face. There was a lot of stuff I wanted to artistically vent about. It's a fresh start for us. We felt like having a self-titled record says it all. We hit the reset button, and there's life again. You can hear it musically. We're not going anywhere."

"This album is the beginning of a brand new chapter in the world of NONPOINT... rejuvenated and full of positivity," adds Rivera. "Elias has written his most personal lyrics yet that shows the signs of endurance this band has had in our 15-year career."

The band opened up the floodgates to the new album by unleashing one of its heaviest tracks, "I Said It", as a free download on their web site this summer and the fans responded with overwhelming enthusiasm, welcoming the onslaught.

"Nonpoint" track listing:

01. Lights, Camera, Action

They're reborn. This album is their best since Recoil (which was very solid in its own right) and it's not even debatable.

I haven't listened to the full album yet and I wanna support these guys but the finances haven't allowed me to shell out ten bucks on the album. I'll finally get it Friday. If it's that good, I'm gonna love it but what about To the Pain? That was a solid album right there...I loved Recoil and Statement and even like Development some...the weakest album was by far Vengeance..

I'm really surprised to find out that this band has never experienced strong album sales considering the amount of radio airplay they've received in the past. I was going to say how much it must suck to fall from grace only to find out that this is their 2nd highest charting album.

didn't keep up much after that, but this song is pretty good. Saw them open for Sevendust years ago and they were pretty intense live.

saw these guys live last week for the 15th time probably - really awesome live band and even though they have gone through many member changes over the years and only the singer and drummer are original members, they still mainstain a signature sound and all their music has been consistently good for well over a decade

very underrated band

sounds like me and Static X...seen them countless times. nonpoint is a very underrated band you're right...much like Taproot and Sevendust in my opinion. I've seen them 3 times and all 3 times were before Development came out so it's been a while...just hard luck when they've rolled through my neck of the woods...I hope I get to see them this go around
