W.A.S.P.'s '30 Years Of Thunder' Tour Hits Holland; Video Available - Nov. 3, 2012
Fan-filmed video footage of W.A.S.P.'s November 2 concert at 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands can be seen below.

30 years ago— on September 21, 1982 — W.A.S.P. played its first show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. On September 21, 2012, W.A.S.P. embarked on the "30 Years Of Thunder" anniversary tour starting in the United Kingdom and continuing worldwide. This world tour is the biggest spectacle W.A.S.P. has ever created. The two-hour show consists of three parts: a one-hour set containing songs from the first four albums; a 25-minute shortened version of "The Crimson Idol" complete with the movie accompaniment; and a set of material from the new W.A.S.P. studio album, older material and everything in between. This performance includes multiple video screens, pyrotechnics, and elements from the early W.A.S.P. shows and Blackie Lawless' moving microphone stand "Elvis."

W.A.S.P.'s latest album, "Babylon", was released in Europe on October 12, 2009 through Global Music (via Demolition Records) and was made available in the U.S. on November 17, 2009.

blind & cancelled in texas. WASP has cancelled the last 3 shows in Dallas over the past 5 years or so. What gives? Maybe they need to headline venues like they do in Europe.

Always have been a great band since day one. Even with all the lineup changes. A few bad albums, but the last 2 have been killer. Too bad they don't play any from Babylon.

Blackie put out a couple of great records...

W.A.S.P. (1984)
The Last Command (1985)
The Headless Children (1989)
The Crimson Idol (1992)

Blackie has a few songs from every record that are 'decent'...'Restless Gypsy', 'Shadow Man'... etc...

But most of the records he has put out have been utter filth.

Crimson Idol still shines. And Blackie sounds great in these clips.

Blackie sings great live. I thought he'd be sucking like many of his contemporaries (Joe Elliott, Geoff Tate, Vince Neil ), but nope. He may look bit puffy in his face, but his pipes are incredible still. Studio quality. And his newish band is incredible. That's the kind of drummer Megadeth needed the last decade.

Blackie's big brother passed away on that night, just few hours before the show.
