Two New Zealand Men Charged With Armed Robbery Of AC/DC CD - Nov. 4, 2012
According to Wairarapa Times Age, two New Zealand men were charged with armed robbery in connection with the theft of an AC/DC compact disc.

Peter Tapine, 37, and Jackson Huata, 47, are accused of robbing a house in Masterton while armed with a sword. They appeared in the Masterton District Court and were remanded in custody to appear again on November 8.

Armed police were called in to help execute search warrants at three different addresses during which the two men were arrested and a sword and machete seized.

Does anyone get the real point of this story?

They were stealing music .... just like millions of people do every day over the internet.

At least they had the balls to actually be honest about what they were doing!

'74 Jailbreak probably costs what 5-10 bucks at the average music store? either go to a music store or download it like everyone else If you're going to rob someone at sword point don't do it for something that you easily buy or download.

If the jury finds him guilty and give him 16 years in hell, I have to wonder if there's gonna be a jailbreak!

TWO DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THIS AND INTERNET PIRACY:
1. The owner of the record loses his record, he can't listen to it anymore. This isn't the case when somebody copies some mp3s from somebody's computer or server through the internet, they both have the music and both can listen.
2. FUCKING SWORD.

Public flogging is the only sensible punishment.
