JOE LYNN TURNER Featured In Norwegian 'Street Of Dreams' Documentary - Nov. 8, 2012
Legendary singer Joe Lynn Turner (RAINBOW, DEEP PURPLE, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) stars in the documentary "Street Of Dreams: Without A Dream In Your Heart, What The Hell Is There?"

Jan Erling Holberg is a bass guitar player from a small town in Norway. He just turned 47 years, but his childhood dream of becoming a rock star has not faded away. After going through a major depression, now is his time to give the dream a chance.

With the help of his longtime hero and musical inspiration, Joe Lynn Turner, he sets out to record an album and embark on a tour across Norway. Will his biggest dream finally come true, or is it too late to become a star?

Joe Lynn Turner already knows the taste of success, after having played with bands like RAINBOW, DEEP PURPLE and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN. He has been in the spotlight since the early '70s. Even though the musical scene has changed since then, he should be able to provide a trick or two to the novice Jan Erling Holberg.

Filmed between January 2011 and August 2012, "Street OF Dreams" will be screened on the Norwegian national broadcaster NRK, and has already been selected for the Trondheim Dokumentar Festival. A special DVD is expected in March 2013 for worldwide release.

it is ripping that off...and both are using this movie as a vehicle. JLT may be a veteran of many rock wars, but like Anvil, those are many years ago.

I thought this was about Joe Lynn Turner not some loser from Norway. The reason this guy never made it is the same reason Anvil never really made it. Their music was never that good.

Theres tons of talented young kids out there who are doing it for real. They are busting their ass touring for no money, financing their own recordings, sacrificing a career for their love of music. Those are the people who should make a documentary. This guy should have done something when he was twenty, not wait til he was 47...

^^ Just to clarify I don't want to say anything negative about JLT, he's amazingly talented and deserves a huge amount of respect for everything he's done. I don't want to talk shit about him, just the guy in the documentary and Anvil.

Anvil got off with a couple of o.k. albums, each holding a couple'o good tunes, back in the Earl -80's. THIS dude just starter out for real last year - financning & releasing his own CD last year, & it's quality straight tru ("Sense Of Time").
That's a world away from anvil.
I've seen this guy on more than a couple of occasions on stage (caught one of these dates with Joe Lynn Turner, too).
There's no doubt he's on his way - he's got å bucketload of stage presence, VERY talented, & he means business.
There's a 2nd CD on it's way, with some fantastic guests (JLT sings a couple of tunes on this one, too, as well as other prominent guest artists).
Although i haven't seende this documentary yet, all you "nay"sayers desember his name: you'll hear more of him...just sayin'.
