SCORPIONS Singer's Mother Dies At 92 - Nov. 8, 2012

SCORPIONS singer Klaus Meine's mother Erna died on October 25 at the age of 92. According to Bild.de, the "petite, elderly woman" suffered a stroke a few weeks ago. Klaus said, "She was a fighter. We were so hoping that she could be able to make it."

In a message to the fans, the singer said, "Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers that were sent [to] me and my family during this sad and difficult time."

Funeral services for Meine's mother were held over the weekend in Hainholz, Germany.

To lose a mother, for any son or daughter.

The consolation to this, however small, is that she lived to a ripe age and lived long enough to see her children achieve something substantial in life. It would make me proud, anyway.

I've been enjoying your unique vocal style for over 3 decades now and my many condolences to you and your family. I'm sure your Mother was a great lady. Thanks for her part in you becoming one of the top ten Hard Rock/Metal vocalists of all time who's touched millions!

to live that long. And what an incredible life she must have led. To survive WWII and Hitler's madness. I do not blame the German people. Their choices were limited. They never wanted the war anyway. And then giving birth to one of metal's finest singers. R.I.P Erna and condolences to Klaus and the Meine family.
