ROB ZOMBIE On The Business Of Making Horror (Video) - Nov. 9, 2012
Rocker-turned-filmmaker Rob Zombie recently talked with The Wall Street Journal's John Jurgensen in a backstage interview about business strategy and surviving in the music industry. Check out the chat below.

Zombie recently completed work on his new album for an early 2013 release. The CD was produced by Bob Marlette, who has previously worked with everyone from BLACK SABBATH and ALICE COOPER to WILSON PHILLIPS and LYNYRD SKYNYRD.

The singer released a collection of remixes of various ZOMBIE tracks on August 7 called "Mondo Sex Head". The remixes feature some of the hottest names in the growing electronic dance music scene, along with contributions from Jonathan Davis of KORN and Chino Moreno of DEFTONES.

Zombie last month released the first official trailer for his upcoming film "The Lords Of Salem". The horror film, Zombie's fifth live-action feature, stars his wife Sheri Moon Zombie as a Massachusetts DJ who discovers that playing a mysterious record somehow activates a curse placed on her town by a coven of witches 300 years ago.

The genuinely creepy trailer offers a barrage of Satanic imagery, including witches burning at the stake, pagan animal masks, bizarre rituals and Sheri Moon Zombie straddling a demonic goat.

The film premiered in September at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it was picked up for distribution by Anchor Bay. The company will release it sometime in early 2013.

rob zombie has clearly distinguished himself as a class act. Now before any of you haters the start bashing...Ask yourself this
1. Habe you sold millions of records
2. Have you ever written and directed in 5 big screen movies
3. Do you tour the country playing live for hundreds of thousands of fans
4. Are you married to anything remotely close to that wife of his

Clearly this man has it all! Success and money to burn.
Now go back to your basements and prepare for the battle of the bands at your local school.

Agreed on all but #4. His wife is a bit too trailer trashy for my tastes. If she weren't hooked up with Mr. Cummings, she'd be rotting away in a trailer park somewhere with three teeth in her head and just as many kids suckling on her chewed up teets.

I dig all of Zombie's films - there is nothing not to like about any of them.

Devil's Rejects was a genuine masterpiece. His Halloween flicks were uneven and underwhelming. House of 1000 Corpses was just OK.

Rob has always made good/decent films. And it looks like his new album might be pretty good too.
