BANG TANGO Working On New Material - Nov. 10, 2012
According to Hot Metal, veteran rockers BANG TANGO have commenced work on the material for their new album for a tentative 2013 release. Among the tracks set to appear on the follow-up to 2011's "Pistol Whipped In The Bible Belt" is "When Will I Get Paid", written by Johnny Blade and previously recorded by Birmingham, Alabama's PLAYER/KOMMANDER.

"The swinging, funky aspect of our music is something we want to work on, it's what people like about us," drummer Trent Anderson tells Hot Metal. "We were really happy with the success of 'Pistol Whipped' and and we're anxious to get back into the studio.

"At this stage, we haven't booked any studio time."

BANG TANGO, along with videographer Drew Fortier, is working on a documentary of the band for release next year. Tentatively titled "The Bang Tango Movie", the documentary will contain interviews with current and original BANG TANGO members as well as most of the in-betweeners who have performed with the group over the years. The film will explore the history of the band and what the original members are up to now, but for the most part it will give insight into the recording of "Pistol Whipped In The Bible Belt".

They should have worked on 'new' material in the 80's.
Nobody cares. Nobody remembers. Anyone who liked them for 10 minutes in 1988 managed to get over them in the near quarter century since they had that one video on MTV.

Everyone bitched and moaned FOR YEARS because all these "real metal" bands quit working on new material....and for the longest time didn't tour or broke up. Now that they are....everyone's bitching and making fun of them for finally doing it. Goddamn Blabbermouth trolls. Some of you fuckers need to go back and listen to your Matchbox 20 or any of those other BIG BANDS from the 90s that no one remembers....and SHUT THE FUCK UP.

I don't like Matchbox 20 but I will admit they are not a band "no one remembers". Those guys sold millions of albums and Rob Thomas was a big part in helping Santana with one of his biggest selling albums. If I had to pick which of the two bands I could have been in I certinly would not pick Bang Tango. (and for the record Bang Tango is NOT metal)

...the 1st major label release with Someone Like You doesnt suck, and they had a song or 2 after that. Dudes voice was questionable then and certainly hasnt got any better.
But their live EP that came out just before Psycho Cafe , I think Live Injection(?) kicked serious ass.

What a bunch of tards here as usual. Look, its people being assholes in a thread I care nothing about, I am gonna be an asshole too! Fucking sheep.

Saw them on Monsters of Rock cruise and they were SO much fun and great to talk to. Singer got hammered, puked and kept playing. It was the talk of the ship.

Can't wait. Still love the 80's bands. Wish Faster Pussycat would release some new music too.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY this bands career is in the state that it is ...................

"Because the Singer gets hammered, pukes and keeps playing"

One thing I know is that the person that posted this IS NOT A LIAR.
He was definitely ON that cruise ship.

I've seen them live recently and the singer is a mess. the band is talented hired guns with joe Leste being the weakest link. they never had great songs IMO

And whats up with the FAT sweaty Bass Player?
Looks like he belongs on the back of a trash truck or working in a Detroit car assembly plant
