Video: DERREK RODDY Performs At 'London Drum Show' - Nov. 15, 2012
Video footage of drummer Derek Roddy's (HATE ETERNAL, NILE, TODAY IS THE DAY) performance at the London Drum Show on October 14 at the Olympia Conference Centre in London, England can be seen below.

Derek Roddy (born August 28, 1972) has forever changed the face of extreme metal drumming and is fast becoming one of the more influential drummers in the world today. Derek is by no means the originator of the blast beat but one of its biggest pioneers and educators, propelling blast beat drumming to the forefront of modern playing in ways no other extreme drummer had done before him. With past credits including MALEVOLENT CREATION and HATE ETERNAL, Derek currently plays with his new band, SERPENTS RISE, and recently released their self-titled debut album through his web site. In 2006, Derek broke new ground as a music educator, with his instructional book, "The Evolution Of Blast Beats", being the first of its kind, documenting the history and composition of extreme drumming. In 2009, he teamed up with Hudson Music to release an instructional DVD titled "Blast Beats Evolved". As an artist and educator, Derek Roddy continues to push the limits of today's music.
