AC/DC: Entire 'Live At River Plate' Album Available For Streaming - Nov. 16, 2012
AC/DC will release "Live At River Plate" on November 20 as a the three-disc red vinyl or a two-CD set featuring multiple covers and a 24-page booklet. The live record follows last year's "Live At River Plate" DVD, filmed during their three triumphant Buenos Aires concerts on the "Black Ice" world tour, in December of 2009 in front of nearly 200,000 fans.

You can now listen to the album online at RollingStone.com.

"Live At River Plate" track listing is as follows:

01. Rock N Roll Train
02. Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be
03. Back In Black
04. Big Jack
05. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
06. Shot Down In Flames
07. Thunderstruck
08. Black Ice
09. The Jack
10. Hells Bells
11. Shoot To Thrill
12. War Machine
13. Dog Eat Dog
14. You Shook Me All Night Long
15. T.N.T.
16. Whole Lotta Rosie
17. Let There Be Rock
18. Highway To Hell
19. For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)

In an interview with Fox411, AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson was asked when fans can expect to see the band back on the road. "We're going to London in about three weeks; we're just going to have a sitdown like we usually do," he explained, befoe adding, "I wouldn't like to do another [tour] like the last one. The last one was two years. It broke your body in half."

He continued, "The thing with our band is we never want to go on stage and have people looking at us and saying, 'Oh you should have seen them ten years ago.' So we're going to take it as it come and see what happens. I doubt we'll be doing a big one. If we could do some festivals, I wouldn't mind that all. That would be lovely."

AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young recently confirmed to Classic Rock magazine that the band is working on the follow-up to 2008's "Black Ice". But he said fans may have to wait longer than expected.

"I've been doing some jamming on some song ideas but I do that all the time, as do the rest of the band," he said. "We are still working. But we had a long rest between 'Stiff Upper Lip' and 'Black Ice', so I think we need a couple of years to recuperate and work on it a bit more."

they are great, but there are much better bands. My No.1 is KISS.

Sounds great.

The fact that Brian Johnson isn't singing out of a hole in his throat after all the smoking is remarkable in and of itself.

My first thought was that's a great set list. My second thought was any set list would be great - they don't have a single record or even song that I don't like. Considering how long they've been around, that's really remarkable...

COMMENT | Plus, it's awesome that Phil Rudd plays drums on this new live album.

'92's 'AC/DC Live' had a great cross-section of material, too, but Chris Slade's meter was sadly all over the place at times: an absolute no-no when you deal in the groove like AC/DC does. Phil Rudd is as crucial to AC/DC's sound as Angus or Malcolm's contributions. Phil is a master groovemeister. Smart move to make a live album from the River Plate shows. Still one of The loudest bands I've ever heard live. They give you a dose of cool that makes you feel hipper than you did prior to going to their gigs! That's how you know! ;)

I agree, but it wasn't so much that Slade's meter was all over the place...he just had a VERY stiff, regimented feel that didn't work with AC/DC's music...his hi hat was clamped shut and it killed the groove on most of their classic songs.

Plus, he played several songs WAY too fast.

I have no doubt that Slade is technically superior to Rudd, but AC/DC is ALL ABOUT feel and groove, and Slade just couldn't match Rudd in that category.

You'd have to be a sick individual to actually want to hear more live versions of 'Back in Black,' 'Hells Bells,' Thunderstruck,' 'Dirty Deeds,' 'You Shook Me ....' etc fucking etc I'm not denying they aren't classics, but man how worn out are those stale songs live? How many copies will this realistically sell in the first week? With any justice it would be 550 copies. You can't blame anyone for downloading this shite.

I, too think some of these songs are worn out. I mean I really would've liked for some (not all) of the Bon songs to have been left off. I mean, it's B.J. singing, he's got plenty of good songs to choose from, i.e. Flick Of The Switch, Spellbound, C.O.D., Hail Caesar, Stiff Upper Lip, etc, on and on...

I don't know why they have to play almost equally the Bon and B.J. songs...but that's what we have here, so I like it enough to pick it up...legally that is. Peace.

Biggest disappointment is the same boring setlist. They have been playing same shit on all gigs in last touring cycle. Why they did not change anything and put 3-4 songs from their vast back-catalogue is just beyond understanding.

But I agree, must they play the same old setlist, more Brian Johnson songs than I'd like to see as well. How bout some Powerage material, what about 'Rock N Roll Dream' from Black Ice. 'Thunderstruck' however just doesn't get old, it's probably my favorite BJ era song from my 2nd favorite BJ era album.

Why'd they wait so long to put this on CD? Did Sony/Columbia just decide to do a quick cash grab?

They have themselves been doing a cash grab the last few years. The last tour was a hundred bucks in my neck of the woods. They're preparing for retirement.

They know they can't do this much longer so they're getting their ducks in a row now.
