ANVIL Interviewed On New Zealand's 'The Sick Room' (Audio) - Dec. 23, 2012
Caleb Smith of New Zealand's "The Sick Room" radio recently conducted an interview with Canadian heavy metal legends ANVIL. You can now stream the chat using the audio player below.

ANVIL has just completed recording its new album, "Hope In Hell", at NRG Recording Studios in North Hollywood, California with producer Bob Marlette (BLACK SABBATH, AIRBOURNE, FILTER, ATREYU, ALICE COOPER). Due in late spring/early summer via The End Records in North America and SPV/Steamhammer in Europe, the CD will mark the recording debut with the band of bassist Sal Italiano who replaced Glenn Gyorffy (a.k.a. Glenn Five or G5) in January.

Marlette previously worked with ANVIL on last year's "Juggernaut Of Justice", which was made available as a limited-edition digipak (including two bonus tracks), double gatefold LP in blue vinyl, standard version and a digital download.

On September 24, Steamhammer/SPV re-released three albums from ANVIL, all featuring new booklets containing new liner notes from guitarist/vocalist Steve "Lips" Kudlow and drummer Robb Reiner plus new photos.

"Back To Basics" (2004) and "Still Going Strong" (2002) are available again as a high-class "2 in 1" double digipak CD, while 2007's "This Is Thirteen" opus was re-released as a digipak CD, as well as a double gatefold LP, both with an exclusive bonus track.

I'm so happy that spinal tap exists for real. What a couple idiots!! Listening to these guys is better than your fave comedy show. I hope they never stop making fools of themselves in these interviews. How many words can we make up today!? hahaha!! No command of the english language at all. Maybe its all the weed they smoke. I'm sure that's why the drummer can't keep good time and has his band wondering where to come in every night. Prob sounds good to him because he's high, but I've heard him play and timing is not his strong suit. Especially since Glen 5 left the band. He was the one bringing it all together musically, in my opinion the only pro this band has ever had. And Lips can sounds as burnt out as it gets, time to start your cruise line gig! But PLEASE don't stop being 'dummies' guys. Keep doing these interviews together, keep being fools and talking over each other, keep thinking that the world isn't laughing at you! It brings me lots of joy laughter!
