RUDY SARZO Interviewed At '95.5 KLOS Christmas Show' (Video) - Dec. 29, 2012
Legendary bassist Rudy Sarzo (OZZY OSBOURNE, QUIET RIOT, WHITESNAKE, DIO) was interviewed backstage at the 95.5 KLOS Christmas Show, which took place on December 13 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. You can now watch the chat below.

In a recent interview with Artisan News, Sarzo said that he decided to join Geoff Tate's newly assembled version of QUEENSRŸCHE because the the opportunity to work with a "world-class vocalist" like Tate was too good to pass up.

"My motivation for joining the band is, you know… Working with great singers is always the toughest thing to find," Sarzo said at the December 12 premiere screening in Los Angeles, California of "Randy Rhoads: The Quiet Riot Years", the first documentary film to be released on the late guitarist. "Of course, somebody that plays at the level of Randy Rhoads, of course, that's one in a million times that you're gonna find that. But a vocalist, a real word-class vocalist like Geoff Tate, they're very rare, especially the ones that happen to be available. So when he called me up and said to join forces, of course, I said 'yes' — immediately."

Tate's QUEENSRŸCHE also includes drummer Bobby Blotzer (RATT), guitarist Kelly Gray (MYTH) and keyboardist Randy Gane (MYTH).

Geoff Tate's QUEENSRŸCHE will hit the road next year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the group's epic 1988 release, "Operation: Mindcrime".

The performance of "Operation: Mindcrime" next spring will cover all fifteen songs from the album including such fan favorites as "Revolution Calling", "Operation: Mindcrime", "I Don't Believe In Love" and the closing track, "Eyes Of A Stranger". It will also feature other selections from the QUEENSRŸCHE catalog, including songs from "Operation: Mindcrime II".

Did anyone in the 80's save any money. All these shit 80's/90's bands reforming one way or another. They can't be making much coin, playing for 150 people at 20 buck a head.

What a way to tarnish a killer discography...Rudy

Rudy if you're reading this, please listen to your hardcore fans. I have followed you're career since Ozzy and you have so much respect amongst musicians as myself. This Queensryche thing is so wrong for so many reasons. You don't need this. This a joke. Don't participate. It's okay if you to work with Geoff but not as Queensryche. Name it something else. Geoff has issues with court and other things. There's a black cloud above him these days. Your too good for this. I know you mean well but this gig's not for you bro.

Rudy should leave Jeffery Taint's tribute band already! It won't be around much longer anyway.

I wonder when was the last time Rudy actually heard Geoff sing, since he is nowhere near a world-class singer anymore.

Much respect to and for Mr Rudy Sarzo. BUT.....as someone said before...this is a joke. Tate is way past his prime. And his antics in the QR soap opera just make him unenjoyable to me as a fan. And Tate's already stated in interviews how much he dislikes the early QR stuff.....which is pretty much what I'm a fan of. He can go make AOR-Michael Bolton type music....and I'll listen to some metal.
