LOSTPROPHETS Frontman To Remain In Custody Until March - Dec. 31, 2012

According to BBC News, singer Ian Watkins of the Welsh rock band LOSTPROPHETS will remain in custody until March after being charged with sexual offenses against children.

The 35-year-old musician, who is accused of conspiracy to rape a one-year-old girl along with other charges, appeared in Cardiff Crown Court earlier today (Monday, December 31) via video link from Parc Prison in Bridgend, Wales. He reportedly wore a black suit, shirt and tie and appeared beside two women who cannot be named for legal reasons. All three defendants spoke only to confirm their names at the hearing, which lasted "less than 10 minutes." They were remanded until March 11, after being arrested on December 18.

Defending barrister Tom Crowther had said on December 19 that Watkins would be denying the charges.

LOSTPROPHETS members Lee Gaze (guitar), Mike Lewis (guitar), Stuart Richardson (bass), Jamie Oliver (keyboards) and Luke Johnson (drums) released a statement on their official web site expressing their shock at the charges against Watkins.

LOSTPROPHETS has sold more than three million albums worldwide and topped the U.K. chart with 2006's "Liberation Transmission".

The band's most recent CD, "Weapons", came out in April.

I guess we're to assume he was paying the two women to provide the baby. If any of this shit is true, I'd like to see them all get their heads crushed with a sledgehammer. No amount of torture or mutilation could be enough to punish people for something this sick, but it should happen nonetheless.

Love is one thing but there are still boundaries for it. Am I to say that somebody can't love something or someone? No, I don't have the right, but when your love is for something or someone that is not by any means a willing participant in your loving, it becomes rape real fast.

People are calling for him to be killed for what he has allegedly done, but the whole thing was preventable.

One listen to "Last Train Home" should have been enough reason.

Welly welly well get this shit, just outta curiosity I looked up this guy on wikipedia and he happened to be in some old band called Public Disturbance I had heard of a looooong time ago back in the 90's. They had a couple songs off their first record called "I Like To Abuse Children" and "Bangin Kidz 101". Looks like the warning signs were all there.

...cannot be named because doing so will reveal one of the victims. Also, one of them was recently found guilty of selling VIP tickets - that didn't exist - to a festival in Leeds and pocketing the proceeds.

The worst part about this whole situation is questions of Watkins being a vile, perverted pedophile were raised in 2010. And having said that, I don't buy the rest of the band being shocked for one minute. Maybe they didn't know the extent of it, but they knew something was going on with this douchebag.

The fact that the band hasn't shown their 'support' is pretty telling though.
