SHADOW SOCIETY Releases First Single - Jan. 1, 2013
"Shrouded In Darkness", the long-awaited first single from SHADOW SOCIETY, the band formed in 2011 by Asgrim (IMMANIFEST, YETI) and Rob Thoth (CHRONZON), can be streamed below. Mixed and mastered at the Audio Refinery by Eric Koondel (SOILWORK, CYNIC, MALEVOLENT CREATION), the song is a glimpse into the dark arts of SHADOW SOCIETY. Ambience, brutality, melody, and technicality all blend together seamlessly to weave unique and original sonic soundscapes.

In other news, SHADOW SOCIETY has initiated bassist Scott Patrick (ORDER OF ENNEAD, COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN) into the collective, further enhancing their already formidable musical prowess.

SHADOW SOCIETY is now aligned with James McComas and Phoenix Rising Management (a division of Puzzle Box Entertainment Group) for worldwide management and representation. McComas states: "Having watched the band for more than six months, I can confidently say that SHADOW SOCIETY is poised to wage a full-on assault on the extreme music scene in 2013. Managing and personally working alongside a group of guys like this is a great honor. I know two of the members very well, and have toured with both of them. The rest of the guys are straight-up gracious and talented individuals, and I look forward to forging the same relationship with them that I already share with the rest of the band."

SHADOW SOCIETY is:

* Rob Thoth (CHRONZON, IMMANIFEST) - Lead Vocals
* Kevin Quirion (DEICIDE, ORDER OF ENNEAD, COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN) - Guitar/Vocals
* Al Asgrim: (YETI, IMMANIFEST) Guitar/Clean Vocals
* Adam Sagan (CIRCLE II CIRCLE, INTO ETERNITY) - Drums/Clean Vocals
* Scott Patrick (ORDER OF ENNEAD, COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN) - Bass
* Roberto "Kadath" Celentano (YETI) - Keyboards

I bet I know how this song came to fruition. "Hey Scott, lets snag a run of the mill 1982 San francisco thrash guitar riff...hmm...it sounds too mundane and generic...lets add a keyboard because Prog MUST have keyboards...hey, how about a operetic female vocalist?" "Hey Adam, I have a better idea, lets get one of them singers that sound like they're trying to sing with a penis shoved in his mouth"
