SCHECTER GUITAR RESEARCH Unveils Three New Artist Signings From Metal's Darker Recesses - Jan. 20, 2013
Schecter Guitar Research has announced three pivotal players in the metal arena with new Schecter Signature Series guitars to be released: Kenny Hickey (TYPE O NEGATIVE, DANZIG, SEVENTH VOID), Tommy Victor (PRONG, MINISTRY, DANZIG) and Marco "Maus" Biazzi (LACUNA COIL): three distinct players with different styles and tone, but with one ingredient in common: Schecter Guitars.

Kenny Hickey's well-defined baritone sound was the heart of TYPE O NEGATIVE, gothic-metal homages to man's darkest corners, while the bite of his tone found with SEVENTH VOID and his touring stints with DANZIG proved that regardless of the set-up, his tone was an organic extension. His Schecter Kenny Hickey Signature C-1 EX will allow players to harness the tools of his sound and maybe even conjure some "green light" spirits up.

Tommy Victor is a legend of the stop/start riff fraternity, something that befitted his band PRONG's New York City chaotic roots. Albums like "Prove You Wrong", "Cleansing" and their latest "Carved In Stone" highlight his clean clock-like riffs, while his roadwork with DANZIG further embraced his ability to play a deep groove and MINISTRY showcased his pile-driving methodology. The Schecter Tommy Victor Signature will allow guitarists to now employ his various playing styles in one unit.

LACUNA COIL's Marco "Maus" Biazzi, like Kenny Hickey, explores a darker sound but harnesses the sweep of European-style metal familiar to his Italian heritage. His intricate playing, weaving between the throbbing melodies and Cristina Scabbia's vocals, landed the band on a much larger stage with the success of "Comalies" in 2004. With the recent release "Dark Adrenaline", Maus continues to paint sonic melodies while wielding off flourishing leads. The Schecter Maus Signature C-7 model will help further establish his reputation in and out of the metal world.

The Schecter Kenny Hickey Signature C-1 EX, Tommy Victor Signature and The Schecter Maus Signature C-7 models are all being showcased at the musical instrument industry's biggest event — the winter NAMM conference — Schecter Booth, Room 210-D, in Anaheim, California, January 24-27, 2013.

I have had a couple of Schecters, 7 string Hellraiser and 8 String Black Jack X, they are all right guitars, can't compare them to Ibanez or Jacksons, they only reason I might consider buying a Schecter again is because of their fairly newest model , the hellraiser C1 with semour duncan in the bridge and sustainiacs in the neck. only because of the sustainiac systems in them.
