CORROSION OF CONFORMITY Beer Coming Soon - Jan. 21, 2013
Kennesaw, Georgia-based breweries Burnt Hickory and Anderson Bros. are collaborating on a rum barrel aged imperial raisin porter named named after Raleigh, North Carolina's "oldest and truest rock band" CORROSION OF CONFORMITY. According to Burnt Hickory, "The beer will be brewed this week and be sent into a wonderfully sublime exile for a few months. Aging in the barrel you see [below], it was be treated to a constant loop of the 'Technocracy' EP for the duration of its stay!"

Formed in Raleigh in 1982, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY quickly transformed heavy music. Politically charged and socially aware, the band has influenced countless others and today remains humble about their accomplishments. With over 1.1 million albums sold in the United States, the band continues to find new fans via nonstop touring.

Guaranteed sell-out due to beer geeks and metal-heads.
Too bad it wasn't an NC based brewery.

Totally agree with you but the sad thing is that bands are reduced to selling merch cos most kids out there refuse to pay for music. It is a sad sign of the times but hey, if it keeps them going and pays the mortgage and we get more music because of it? I guess I'll have to drink it.

Pepper Keenan coming Soon.

seen CoC few months back. 3 bands price was $25 and about 100 people in attendance.

Every beer bottle must be only 3/4 full just like the band.

Some of you are missing the point. This beer is an homage to COC. It's not made by the band. And I agree with John Daly's comment. COC, to me, is the first 3 or 4 records before Pepper ever came along. The new and current "Pepperless" lineup is THE classic lineup. They are back to their roots. I have no problems with Pepper-era stuff, but that's not the COC I grew up on. Kudos to Burnt Hickory and Anderson Bros for what sounds like an interesting brew inspired by hardcore era COC.
