TOOL Guitarist Proposes To Girlfriend At 'WWE Royal Rumble' (Video) - Jan. 28, 2013
TOOL guitarist Adam Jones proposed to his girlfriend Korin at last night's (Sunday, January 27) WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.

Video footage of the proposal can be seen at WWE.com.

Jones is said to be an avid WWE fan who performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" in August 2011 at WWE's SummerSlam pay-per-view event.

TOOL is confirmed to play the Japanese edition of Ozzfest in May and is said to be working on music for a new studio album.

TOOL's last CD, "10,000 Days", came out in 2006.

Since that time the band has toured intermittently almost every year, while vocalist Maynard James Keenan has spent the bulk of his time tending to his Arizona vineyard business and writing and recording two albums with PUSCIFER.

Nothing says romance quite like the WWE.

Fair enough but isn't he a bit old to be at a wrestling show?

a proposal is suppose to be, romantic, private, personal and serene...
this was a either a promo opt for the bands new album or tour or just an oddball scheme...
good luck to them anyhow

By the time the next record comes out, it will be 2014. 8 years is way too long.

I'm guessing by the multiple thumbs down that most of the people on here are still kids. I loved wrestling during the Attitude era when I was a young teenager but from what I've seen of it these days, there's very few guys who seem to have that star quality and the quality of writing is laughable. It just seems a bit mental that a grown man in his late 40s would be into wrestling nowadays.

It's amazing that the image the band portrays and the thoughts you form about the band based on their music gets severely let down when a member proposes to his girlfriend at a wrestling match (classy) Someone so talented enjoys something completely fucking stupid (and fake) and has been a shell of its earlier years for a very long time.

All sports are fake. Haven't been a fan since the rowdy roddy vs. superfly jimmy snuka days but at least this doesn't claim to be real. As for tool, whatever, barely a fucking band. More like a hobby. Not really impressed with anything after aenima and that was about 75% great, the rest filler. When they bring the metal they do it nicely but the nonmetal tool we've gotten is weak. They were great though.

you couldn't even read anything private about the members of Tool. You'd be hard pressed to even find a casual band photo in a magazine.

Yeah but I wouldn't fault Tool for that. The internet changed everything. So far the only band to maintain some sort of anonymity in this age would appear to be Ghost, and people were still able to figure out who the frontman is (though not the band members, it seems).

Honestly I think the lack of media/publicity was just part of Tool's approach to gaining attention. They created an aurora around the band that helped them be unique... Now they probably realised they just don't need to do it anymore.

I was there last night in Phoenix and it was very cool. Everyone chanted YES YES YES! Nobody around me knew who he was even after they put his name on the big screen. He also performed the national anthem for Summerslam im La last year. Congrats to him and his fiancee and everyone slamming him for it wish they had just an ounce of his talent so shut up...
