OVERKILL: New Video Interview With BOBBY 'BLITZ' ELLSWORTH - Feb. 24, 2013

On February 14, Jo Schüftan of Horns Up Rocks! conducted an interview with vocalist Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth of New Jersey thrash metal veterans OVERKILL at the Best Buy Theater in New York City. You can now watch the chat below.

OVERKILL was forced to drop off the "Dark Roots Of Thrash" tour with TESTAMENT last week due to Bobby's ongoing bout with pneumonia.

OVERKILL's new album, "The Electric Age", sold 6,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 77 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was recorded and mixed at Gear Recording Studios in New Jersey, owned and operated by OVERKILL bassist D.D. Verni.

last 3 albums= awesome!!! fucking love it...

.despite being sick as a dog he still pulled a great show at best buy

Bobby is such a nice, super cool guy, and very cute to boot! His wife is a lucky lady. :)

I hope he gets well soon and back on the road with Overkill asap! The Electric Age and Dark Roots Of Earth were my two fave albums from last year. The new wave of thrash simply doesn't compare to the old school, in my humble opinion!

You're right. Because the new wave is content with sounding like dri whereas the old school of thrash were hellbent on getting better and incorporating traditional metal into the mix. Kind of like kreator & death angel are doing now I think.
