ANTHRAX: Video Footage Of Entire Sydney Concert - Feb. 26, 2013
Fan-filmed video footage of ANTHRAX's entire February 25 performance at Big Top Luna Park in Sydney, Australia can be seen below.

"Anthems", ANTHRAX's long-awaited, eight-track EP that pays tribute to the classic songs by some of the band's favorite acts from the 1970s, will be released in North America on March 19 (MRI/Megaforce), and on March 22 in Europe (Nuclear Blast).

"Anthems" track listing

01. Anthem (RUSH cover)
02. Jailbreak (THIN LIZZY cover)
03. TNT (AC/DC cover)
04. Smokin' (BOSTON cover)
05. Big Eyes (CHEAP TRICK cover)
06. Keep On Runnin' (JOURNEY cover)
07. Crawl (album version)
08. Crawl (special remix)

The "Anthems" EP will be available on CD as well as digitally via iTunes and other online retailers. In addition to "Anthems"' cover art, Benante and artist Stephen Thompson have subtly redesigned each track's original album cover art to "Anthrax" it. The "Anthems" EP will first be housed in one of the "re-imagined" digipak covers, and then inserted inside the main CD cover sleeve. The main cover sleeve has been designed in such a way so fans will be able to see which one of the six "re-imagined" covers is inside.

"Anthems" was produced by ANTHRAX, Jay Ruston and Rob Caggiano and recorded for the most part throughout 2012 literally all over the world: at Benante's home studio, in Ruston's New York studio, on the band's tour bus while on last summer's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, in hotel rooms, and backstage at their Berlin show last December.

The Grammy-nominated ANTHRAX will hit the road in support "Anthems" on February 16 with dates in India and Australia, and then return to North America to headline the Metal Alliance Tour that kicks off March 22. For all of these dates, ANTHRAX will be joined by SHADOWS FALL guitarist Jon Donais.

This means someone held up their little phone for the entire concert. Why? How about watching the show?

They were supporting Slayer, it's rare support acts here get any longer than an hour. Fucking sucks man.

They played a full headline set last Thursday here in Brisbane though with 15 tracks. Their Soundwave set is limited to 45 minutes, too. It's quite lame.

Why are you bitching about show lenghts? It's thrash metal, they are supposed to come onstage, do some damage and get off stage before you know what happened. From my experience bands like Anthrax, Slayer, Overkill, Sodom, Kreator or even Motorhead play better shows in festival/support mode when they have limited time. Headliners fill the shows with rants, soft tunes, ballads and other crap - see: last decade of Megadeth shows.

The best thrash/crossover band is DRI. Their live shows are 2 hrs long and they play roughly 40 songs .

Don't understand why people go to shows and hold their camera , video recorders , cell phones during the whole time? You pay a lot of money for a ticket , t - shirt , CD , Beer , Food etc. to see you favorite band play. Enjoy the damn concert. Turn off the stupid electronics for one night!

I´m thankful to those who record these shows with their phones/camera etc. be it that they are handicapped, disabled, don't have the stamina to mosh/to old to mosh or for what ever reason they decide to go to a concert and record the show on their phone/camera and it´s awesome to be able to be sitting in front of my computer in a different part of the world and watch a video recording of Anthrax live performance in Australia.
Just imagine how sad it would be if no one would have gone to a Metallica concerts with there video recorders in the early days when Cliff Burton was alive and and not recorded all those concerts with him performing on stage, rare concert recordings that we are able to find today on youtube, and also of other late musicians.
John Dette & Jon Donais are doing a great job filling in on this tour.
