ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL: 2013 Lineup Officially Revealed - Mar. 18, 2013
Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, the world's biggest hard and heavy music touring festival, has announced its electrifying sixth-year lineup. It is as follows:

Main stage:

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH
MASTODON
AMON AMARTH

Jägermeister Stage:

MACHINE HEAD
JOB FOR A COWBOY
BUTCHER BABIES

All tickets go on sale March 22 at 12:00 noon local venue time. The tour will stop in 26 cities across the United States and Canada as it makes its way to the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas, Texas on August 4, 2013.

In addition to catching their favorite bands live, fans can take part in a number of festival activities, including playing the newest video games, perusing vendors, attending autograph-signing sessions and a slew of various interactive activities that will only add to the festival experience.

Rockstar Energy Drink will be sampling their products and providing awesome surprises for all attendees. Rockstar will also present the VIP/Contest winner area designated as The Rockstar Lounge and the festival area Party Like A Rockstar Tent where fans can sample ice-cold Rockstar and get autographs from their favorite bands.

As an addition to the festival's music and arts, Musicians Institute and the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival have partnered to create the Rockstar Mayhem Independent Artist Scholarship! This scholarship fully covers tuition and material fees for a two quarter IAP certificate (Room, Boarding and Travel are not included.) The application period runs from March 18 until June 1, 2013. Applicants must visit this location to enter.

Only bands worth seeing are Mastodon, Rob Zombie, Behemoth, COB, Amon Amarth, Machine Head, and JFAC. The rest is garbage. It doesn't surprise me though. Usually Mayhem Fest has 3-6 bands I really care about and then all the other bands suck. Last year, Slayer, Motorhead, and Anthrax were the only reasons I went. It was fun, but all the other bands were garbage.

I'm surprised LOG or Deftones aren't on it as they were both rumored to be. I think the whole reason they held off the Mayhem lineup was pending until the verdict of Randy's trial was reached.

Hopefully Mastodon plays some new stuff from their album thats supposed to come out later this year. They played pretty much all of The Hunter except Creature Lives when I saw them with Opeth and Ghost. Not complaining, I'd just like to see more variety.

But there's 3 bands on there that I totally dislike. And that's enough for me to not go. FFDP essentially is terrible, Butcher Babies is even worse musically, and Emmure is maybe the worst of all. But the rest looks good I guess. Rob always brings a good show, Mastodon!!, Amon Amarth is cool. Machine Fucking Head, Huntress, Behemoth, all killer. Battlecross is alright, same with Osiris & Motionless and the other one's I haven't heard. MAS TO DON RULES!!!!

Great another line-up where the few good bands are so far down on the bill that they get a 30 - 40 min set. I like how Machine Head is always at this crap and their set time is only long enough for about 4 songs. And what the hell is Amon Amarth doing on the main stage? They should be headlining a side stage...Hopefully they'll be some good off-dates since this shit isn't coming through my town...

Pretty Weak lineup. Zombie and Five Finger have been on mayhem before. I am not sure this is going to be worth the $100 for a ticket after ticketmaster's BS fees. I normally don't make it to any of the non-main stage acts as standing out on asphault in 102F Georgia weather is not my idea of fun.

Before I clicked on this, I took a deep breath and said, "You KNOW this is gonna be horrible...right?"

Bummer. Last year was pretty good (Anthrax, Motorhead, Slayer)...moshed to Anthrax in a thunderstorm, met Kerry King and didn't even stay for Slipknot.

Last time I saw Machine head at Mayhem fest they had a 25 minute set time. Halo took up half of it.. :D No Thanks, they didn't even play davidian. Mastodon will get a 30-40 minute set time as well. Bummer on this one.

Fozzy and In This Moment were at the other Rockstar festival which sucked except for those 2 and Godsmack (Rumor has it that Wrathchild is reuniting this summer, come on Shannon, do it......and bring back Kiddie Porn XXX while you are at it) !!!

After reading the lineup. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Mastodon is about it for me. Nothing else. I can appreciate Machine Head and Amon Amarth and would enjoy seeing both as a bonus, but I've kind of stopped listening to that kind of music over the past couple of years. Rob Zombie headlining this thing? He can't fill a 5K seat theater on his own in our metro area (which is being played) and this is a top 5 US market. I don't hate RZ, but don't want to shell out those kind of $$ and sit in Texas heat for hours on end to see him either. I agree, what happened to Deftones? And FFDP? REALLY? Might has well gotten Nickleback or Creed to headline and then got Five Finger Death Punch, Shinedown and Hellyeah on the same stage as support - would be the biggest butt rock show ever!

How can you call it a Festival? it's 10 hours of music. A Festival it's 2 days or more in the middle of a field you can camp it. Cochella and Bonaroo is a festival, not 15 touring bands.

This "festival" is completely pointless to attend unless one of the co-headlining acts is a band you really want to see. In this case it's a negative. I loved White Zombie, but i could never get into his solo "dance" metal shit. 5 Finger is a definite fuck no! There are some bands on here i would like to see - Machine Head, Amon Amarth, Behemoth, but i can just wait until they do their own headlining tours..

2012 was the only one these i went to. Because of mostly Slayer. I showed up at Anthrax, left after Slayer. The crowds at these suck too...

rob zombie's music in the last 10 years sucks, but they're\he's great live. five finger butt munch is decent live but are an unoriginal band. mastodon and children of sodomy are overrated. machine head are ok

having said that, i'm not going to the rockstar mayhem 2010 fest because I didnt go the first time

the lineup isn't that bad.. save for the horrible headliners. AA, Behemoth, Machine Head and Bodom are worth the price of admission. especially Behemoth. the last time they were on this tour, they completely made every other band sound inferior.

and the best thing? i can leave after Amon Amarth and beat the traffic and go sleep it off. 20 bucks for lawn? totally worth it for a good time, we dont have many other options for all day concerts..
