VEX RED Part Ways With Singer, Band Future Uncertain

February 20, 2003

Ending weeks of speculation, VEX RED drummer Ben Calvert and bassist/programmer Keith Lambert have announced that lead singer Terry Abbott has left the band.

Speaking to the fans on the group's official message board, Keith had this to say: "The reason I have been silent for so long is because I haven't known where we stand or what really to say. I was a bit upset. Terry has been unhappy for some time. He wanted to rest VEX for a while and work on a side project. This side project has become so serious now that he doesn't want to string us along anymore, and has left the band for now. The four of us are carrying on, although no decision has been made to whether we will call ourselves VEX RED. I wish Terry the very best."
