A.D.D., KAPTIVATING KATE, BLOOD CORPS Confirmed For FLIGHT OF THE VALKYRIES

April 6, 2009

A.D.D., KAPTIVATING KATE and BLOOD CORPS are the final three confirmed bands for Flight Of The Valkyries, the premier festival in the U.S. for metal bands with female lead vocals. The third installment of the annual metal event will be held Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Station 4 in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota.

"A.D.D. is storming through the American metal scene with support from many angels and with good reason." says Bobbie Jeans Dickerson, Flight of the Valkyries festival co-founder. "With the talent and passion packed into this band it's no wonder they've won the support of mainstream radio, Chicago's finest rock venues, a U.K. label, and now Flight of the Valkyries."

"With their heavy guitar riffs, gritty yet fiery voice and intense stage presence, BLOOD CORPS made a fan of me the first time I saw them," says Dickerson. "Their style of metal has been classified many different ways — from melodic, to classic, to Euro-inspired, but BLOOD CORPS has a quality all their own. That and their captivating stage presence are what landed them the opening slot at this summer's Flight of the Valkyries. You need a strong band to kick off a festival and I am confident BLOOD CORPS will not disappoint."

Local favorite KAPTIVATING KATE, an all-female hard rock band from Eau Claire, WI has been selected by SwordLord Productions to finalize the 2009 Flight Of The Valkyries bill. The band brings together an eclectic mix of hard rock with heavy riffs and melodic vocals and an occasional, almost demonic growl.
