ABACUS RECORDINGS Is No More

Abacus Recordings has officially ceased to exist, according to Lambgoat. Portions of the one-time Century Media Records imprint will now be folded back into Century Media.

Launched in 2002, the label was originally headed by Century Media co-owner Robert Kampf. Roughly two years ago Abacus and Century Media split, with Kampf choosing to relinquish his portion of ownership. Details regarding the latest arrangement between the two entities are scant, but it appears that certain Abacus bands will now be brought over to the Century Media roster.

In recent years Abacus has released material by SICK OF IT ALL, ION DISSONANCE and SWORN ENEMY, among many others.
