ABORTED: More Details About Upcoming DVD Revealed

Belgian death metallers ABORTED have released more information about their upcoming DVD, which will be filmed during an appearance at the second edition of the VS Fest on May 28 at La Locomotive in Paris, France. "The DVD should be out later this year on Listenable Records," the band write on their web site. "Besides this show it'll contain live footage from this year's Face Your Underground fest in Antwerp, the show in Montreal (SUFFOCATION tour),Rouyn Noranda (SUFFOCATION tour) and more. It will also contain the videos completed by the band so far and some interviews and backstage shenanigans! The damn thing should be mixed by mastermind Tue Madsen, so we're very anxious and excited to get this one going!"

ABORTED will be entering Antfarm studios in Denmark with producer Tue Madsen in October to begin recording their new album, tentatively due in early 2007. The band made their live debut with their new lineup on Jan. 14 in La Louviere, Belgium. The group's new formation includes Seb Purulator (ex-GARWALL, BALROG, GENITAL GRINDER) on guitar and Olivia Scemama (ex-NO RETURN, BALROG) on bass following the departures of Thijs "Tace" de Cloedt and bassist Frederic "Free" Vanmassenhove, respectively.

ABORTED's most recent album, "The Archaic Abattoir", was released in March 2005 via Listenable Records. The CD was mixed at Antfarm Studios in Denmark with producer Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, PANZERCHRIST, MNEMIC, EKTOMORF, DESTINY). Guest vocal appearances on the album include Bo Summer (ILLDISPOSED),Michael Bogballe (MNEMIC) and Jacob Bredahl (HATESPHERE).
