ABORTED Prepares To Record New Album

February 6, 2008

Sven Dé Caluwe, vocalist of Belgian death/grind outfit ABORTED, has issued the following update:

"It is with great pleasure that we announce the 'Iconoclast Part I' tour, where we will be supporting Germany's finest HEAVEN SHALL BURN. Furthermore, writing of the new album is nearly completed. We are putting final touches to the material and are hitting the studio to record from the end of February until mid-March. Eric Rachel will mix this slab of brutality right after and it should see a summer release on Century Media Records."

ABORTED's European tour with HEAVEN SHALL BURN and MISERY SPEAKS will kick off on March 28 in Brugge, Belgium.

After slaughtering European audiences on its highly successful tour with BEHEMOTH and KATAKLYSM late last year, ABORTED uploaded the second episode of "Slaughter & Apparatus TV" featuring footage from the tour and revealing more about the sick quintet's off-stage antics than you ever wanted to know. Watch the eight-minute clip below.

An e-card for ABORTED's latest album, "Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture", is available at this location. The e-card features the group's striking video for the track "The Chondrin Enigma". The CD was released on February 20, 2007 via Century Media Records.
