June 19, 2002

ABSCESS—consisting of Chris Reifert (drums/vocals, ex-DEATH/AUTOPSY),Clint Bower (guitar/vocals, ex-HEXX),Danny Coralles (guitar, ex-AUTOPSY),and Joe Allen (bass, ex-VON)—have set Through the Cracks of Death as the title of their forthcoming CD, which is tentatively scheduled for release in August on Peaceville Records. Says Chris, "It's our best yet."

In related news, THE RAVENOUS, who feature in their ranks Reifert on drums/guitar/vocals, former BRUTAL TRUTH/NUCLEAR ASSAULT bassist Danny Lilker, and NECROPHAGIA frontman Killjoy, have finished writing the material for their next effort, tentatively entitled Blood Delirium. The group, who parted ways with Hammerheart Records last year, are looking for a new label before commencing the recording process for the album, which is not expected to surface before early 2003.

Also on the ABSCESS-related front, Chris, Danny, and Joe have started a side project called EATMYFUK, which is being described as "total GG ALLIN-inspired sleazy raw punk rock." The group's recently-recorded demo will be released as a 7" single sometime this year on Nuclear War Now! Productions.

Speaking of Nuclear War Now! Productions, the label is also planning on re-releasing all the VON material on vinyl sometime this year. The Satanic Blood and Blood Angel demos, plus bonus live recordings. have been mastered for the collection, which may be issued as a double gatefold LP.
