AC/DC: Dublin Concert Sells Out In Three Minutes
October 17, 2008According to The Irish Times, tickets for AC/DC's first concert in Ireland in 12 years sold out within three minutes this morning.
Ticketmaster Ireland managing director Eamonn O'Connor said it was "one of the fastest-selling concerts we ever had."
At one stage, 12,000 fans were logged on to try and buy tickets. There were also long lines outside Ticketmaster outlets across the country.
AC/DC plays the O2 Point on April 18, the band's only show in Ireland.
The group, which released its new album, "Black Ice", in Ireland yesterday, also sold out concerts in London, Manchester and Birmingham within minutes of the tickets going on sale. Tickets for a second show in London on April 16 also sold out immediately.
