September 16, 2008

TicketNews, a comprehensive resource for news, market analysis, event announcements, and information relating to the ticket industry, reports: METALLICA dominates TicketNews' exclusive top events rankings for the week ending September 14, capturing the number one spot in the Top Combined Events rankings and in the Top Concert Events rankings. The band, whose first studio album in five years, "Death Magnetic", was released last week, is getting ready to kick off an extensive North American tour in October in Arizona. Fellow rockers AC/DC enter the overall rankings at number eight (power score 1.67) after announcing last week the first leg of its 18-month "Black Ice World Tour". The tour is in support of the band's first studio release in eight years, "Black Ice".
