February 23, 2006The upcoming autumn Joel's Catalogue Auction will feature some very important and unique 1970s rock 'n' roll items concerning Bon Scott, the late frontman of iconic and world-renowned Australian rock band AC/DC.
Since their debut in late 1973, AC/DC has sold over 90 million albums world wide, placing them in the top five highest-selling rock groups in American history, signifying the extent of their international popularity and acclaim.
Bon Scott fronted the band from 1974 until his death in 1980, when AC/DC was at its peak of fame and popularity, and Bon has since then been forever remembered as one of the most charismatic and legendary front men of all time.
The items up for auction have been provided by Bon Scott's ex-wife, Irene, and are from a collection of extremely intimate and personal effects. Another very special item up for auction is a 1974 AC/DC vinyl test pressing of "High Voltage" with the original first track being "Jailbreak", not "Little Lover", which was released on the 1975 "Dirty Deeds" album.
