AC/DC Picks Up 'Headline Performance Of The Year' Award For DOWNLOAD Appearance

November 19, 2010

Legendary rockers AC/DC were honored at tonight's UK Festival Awards. The seventh annual award bash, which celebrates the achievements of the U.K.'s world-leading festival industry, took place at indigO2, part of The O2 complex in London.

AC/DC's performance at Donington's Download Festival was the comfortable winner of the "Headline Performance Of The Year" award at the 2010 UK Festival Awards. Having brought their own stage set-up with them and not played at a U.K. festival since the early Eighties, it was always going to be difficult to beat the rock gods.

Festival Awards Ltd. is the producer of the UK Festival Awards. As well as giving fans chance to tell festival organizers which events they think are the best, it also provides industry networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities through the associated U.K. conference.

Platinum tickets for the UK Festival Awards sold out a record three weeks in advance of the event.
