AC/DC Postpones Show At MetLife Stadium Due To 'Incoming Inclement Weather'

AC/DC's show scheduled for Friday, September 25, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey has been postponed due to the "incoming inclement weather", the venue has announced. The show has been rescheduled for October 2.

Tickets will be honored on the new date and ticket holders will receive an e-mail with more information.

The decision was announced across social media by the band and MetLife Stadium on Friday shortly before 3 p.m., two and a half hours before gates were set to open at 5:30 p.m.

A powerful nor'easter has caused state and local officials to cancel public events while urging residents to prepare for windy and wet weather this weekend. The storm is expected to bring strong winds, heavy rain, significant coastal flooding, and hazardous conditions along the coast and potentially into inland areas, with the most severe impacts expected to begin tonight and continue through Sunday.

AC/DC's MetLife concert is part of the legendary hard rock band's "Power Up" tour, which was originally slated to conclude Tuesday, September 29, at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

The "Power Up" world tour takes its name from AC/DC's 2020 album, which reached No. 1 in 21 countries. It began with the band's long-awaited return to the stage at Power Trip in California in 2023 and has since sold out dozens of stadiums across four continents.
