AC/DC: Scottish Gig Sells Out In 75 Minutes

December 18, 2008

According to The Daily Record, Anglo-Australian rockers AC/DC sold out their Scottish concert at Hampden Park on June 30, 2009 in just 75 minutes.

The gig will be a return home for brothers Malcolm and Angus, who were born in Glasgow. Guitarist Malcolm even revealed earlier this year that the name of their latest album was influenced by his native home.

Concert organizers DF are hoping more tickets for the event may become available.

Dave McGeachan, of DF Concerts, said: "This will be one of the biggest and most spectacular concerts ever to rock Glasgow and we're particularly proud to be able to bring AC/DC here as we have been trying for a long time."

DF added they are presently working closely with artist production and the council to maximize the capacity for the show, and although it is not guaranteed, they hope that additional tickets for the show will become available.

They advised fans not to buy tickets from unofficial sources and instead check on acdc.com and gigsinscotland.com for the official latest news on additional tickets being released.
