AC/DC Tribute Band BACK IN BLACK To Headline 'Tribute Tour'

September 25, 2008

Southlake, Texas AC/DC tribute band BACK IN BLACK has accepted an offer from Live Nation to headline the first House of Blues U.S. Tribute Tour.

The Tribute Tour will commence December 4 in Chicago and will end December 21 on the Sunset Strip, Hollywood. The tour will also include a date at the historic Fillmore Theater in Philadelphia.

Live Nation chose BACK IN BLACK over all other tribute acts because of their amazing live show and dedication to recreating a classic AC/DC concert. The band delivers on every aspect; the sound, the look, and the energy. They have taken the concept of the tribute act to a whole new level. "This is an incredible opportunity, we are so proud of this accomplishment" stated band leader Mike Mroz. "We are so excited to partner with Live Nation and perform at all these great venues." Joining BACK IN BLACK on this tour will be APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION, a GUNS N' ROSES tribute band.

BACK IN BLACK was formed in late 2001 by former bandmates Mike Mroz (Angus) and Darren Caperna (Bon and Brian). Mike had always recognized the potential of this project due to Darren's uncanny ability to transcend both the spirit of Bon Scott and Brian Johnson into his voice. Jay Benzi (drums),Taylor Smith (bass),and Mike Wagner (guitar) were found via an ad in the Dallas Observer. Over the years, they have performed all across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. The members also have successfully released their own material under the name STRIPWIRED.
