ACEY SLADE Working On Solo Album

May 5, 2008

Acey Slade (ex-TRASHLIGHT VISION, MURDERDOLLS, AMEN) is currently working on his first solo album. "People will either love it or hate it," he said. "But no one can accuse me of not having the courage to 'change' it up. All I can tell you is I was listening to a lot of PLACEBO, J-rock, GWEN STAFANI and working with a drum-and-bass producer. I have no idea how or when it will be released. But I know that every time I leave the studio I feel like I had a sea salt rubdown in a Turkish bathouse I think that's good, right? Anyway, it makes me feel like an 'artist' again. I don't give a shit if radio, (a dead medium of payola) or retail like it. It's honest and from the heart."

In other news, Acey is scheduled to produce the new album from the Scottish acoustic folk/punk rock star Billy Liar in early June.
