ACID REIGN Expanded Reissues Now Available

January 30, 2011

The back catalog from British thrashers ACID REIGN has been remastered and reissued via Lost and Found Records.

Formed in 1985, ACID REIGN recorded the "Moshkinstein" demo in 1987, and was soon signed to the British label Under One Flag in 1988 to record the "Moshkinstein" EP. After gaining support slots with such acts as FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, DEATH ANGEL, NUCLEAR ASSAULT and EXODUS, ACID REIGN quickly made a buzz in the metal scene throughout Europe. The band's first full-length album, titled "The Fear", was released in 1989, and their final album, "Obnoxious", in 1990. After the band's break-up, a collection of demos and live tracks were released under the title "The Worst Of Acid Reign".

Legendary producer Bill Metoyer, who has worked with such bands as SLAYER, D.R.I., SACRED REICH and CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, remastered all three albums — "Moshkinstein", "The Fear" and "Obnoxious". Included in the reissues is bonus material, including the original "Moshkinsten" demo (remastered from the original master tapes),"Hangin' On The Telephone" single, and "Humanoia" EP.

All three remastered albums are also available for download from all major on line stores. The original version of "The Worst Of" will also be made available for download for the first time.

ACID REIGN's "Obnoxious", or as it is known to many, "The Pink Album", also holds the No. 1 spot on Terrorizer magazine's worst metal album covers of all time, an honor the band holds in high regard.

Former vocalist Howard "H" Smith can be found on the comedy circuit in the U.K. as Keith Platt-Professional Yorkshireman.
