ADAGIO's July 6 performance in Tours will be exclusive showcase, with the audience limited to just 200. Opening the show will be Matthias Eklundh of FREAK KITCHEN, who will play some amazing tunes from his solo albums. A signing session will follow the concert.
As previously reported, ADAGIO will release their new album, "Dominate", in North America and Europe (outside France) in July via Locomotive Music. The CD — which was issued in Japan in December via Avalon/Marquee and in France in March through Double Vision (via Sony/BMG distribution) — was produced by Stephan Forté and Kevin Codfert, and was mixed at House of Audio Studios in Germany by Dennis Ward.
ADAGIO guitarist Stephan Forté is currently working on the material for the next ADAGIO album. The songwiting process should be completed by late August with a view towards releasing the new CD in early 2007. Forté said of the new songs, "The music is at this stage a combination of 'Underworld''s dark orchestral elements and 'Dominate''s heavyness. There will be absolutely no compromise with this one, we will give all we have to realize our most obscure album."
