ADAGIO Confirm New Singer, Prepare To Hit The Road

French progressive metallers ADAGIO have announced the addition of Brazilian singer Gus Monsanto to the group's ranks. Monsanto joins the band as the replacement for David Readman (PINK CREAM 69),who was dismissed from the group in July due to professional differences.

The band issued the following statement on their newest addition: "Out of the many demos which has been sent to the band management came out a great version of the song 'Chosen' from the 'Underworld' album ... Stephan Forte and the guys have fallen in love with this Brazilian voice.

"Gus arrived from Brazil on Sunday August 29th at Marseille Airport in France, and from September 1st on the band started to rehearse for the upcoming shows .

"After all the line up changes the band has gone through, ADAGIO is now 100% ready to rock and spread his music all over the world.

"Gus' first show with ADAGIO will take place in Toulouse on September 11th. A few days later, the band will fly to USA to play at the ProgPower Festival in Atlanta on September 18th (www.progpower.com).

"Another series of shows will take place in Europe starting from the European ProgPower on October 2nd in Barloo, Netherlands.

"Besides these shows, priority is given to composition of the new album which has already begun.

"The 3rd studio album of ADAGIO will be released early next year."
