ADAGIO: 'Dominate' To Receive North American, European Release In July
May 13, 2006French progressive metallers ADAGIO will release their new album, "Dominate", in North America and Europe (outside France) in July via Locomotive Music. The CD — which was issued in Japan in December via Avalon/Marquee and in France in March through Double Vision (via Sony/BMG distribution) — was produced by Stephan Forté and Kevin Codfert, and was mixed at House of Audio Studios in Germany by Dennis Ward.
In other news, ADAGIO are currently preparing for their Dominate tour. The band will play a special concert in Paris at the Elysée Montmartre on June 29 before hitting the road in September. The tour is expected to last until January 2007.
Also on the ADAGIO-related front, the group's guitarist Stephan Forté is currently working on the material for the upcoming ADAGIO album. The songwiting process should be completed by late August with a view towards releasing the new CD in early 2007. Forté said of the new songs, "The music is at this stage a combination of 'Underworld''s dark orchestral elements and 'Dominate''s heavyness. There will be absolutely no compromise with this one, we will give all we have to realize our most obscure album."
