ADAGIO's STÉPHAN FORTÉ Shredding The Axe
August 10, 2009Video footage of guitarist Stéphan Forté of French neo-classical metallers ADAGIO performing the band's song "Archangels In Black" at the Musikmesse Frankfurt 2009 fair — which was held April 1-4 in Frankfurt, Germany — can be viewed below.
Stéphan's new LAG signature model guitar was introduced at Musikmesse and will be available worldwide early 2010.
The Musikmesse in Frankfurt am Main is the world's leading trade fair for musical-instruments, music software, computer hardware, sheet music and accessories and has been the most important meeting place for the musical-instrument industry for over 25 years.
"Archangels In Black", the new album from ADAGIO, was released in February via Listenable Records. The cover artwork was created by Guilherme Sevens and the CD was mastered at the Cutting Room in Sweden with Björn Engelmann (RAMMSTEIN, MESHUGGAH).
According to a press release, "without being a concept album, 'Archangels In Black' evokes the band's convictions about a certain Nightside philosophy and a very personal approach of life and death." Forté says, "Darkness is a concept with many branches, often misunderstood from outside, but elemental for some kind."
"Archangels In Black" is the first CD to feature ADAGIO's latest addition, Finnish singer Christian Palin.
Palin is a member of the Swedish/Finnish combo ESSENCE OF SORROW and RANDOM EYES.
