ADEMA Drummer Says There Is No Drama In The Band Anymore

ADEMA have spent the last few months holed up at Fat Tracks Studio in Bakersfield, California self-producing their new album, "Planets", with Nick Forcillo. "Planets" will be showcasing the vocal talents of new singer Luke Caraccioli, who joined the band after the departure of Marky Chavez.

Drummer Kris Kohls commented on the album's sound: "The new album, 'Planets', will show a more diverse, intense, and passionate ADEMA. Luke adds a much more melodic touch to the band and we are now able to create a more classic rock sound that we have always loved. 'Planets' will be released in April and is the best album we have ever made. ADEMA IS BACK!"

A sample track from "Planets", "Barricades In Time" can be downloaded at this location. In the U.K., the version of "Planets" is in stores the following week on April 11 and contains 14 tracks. The lead-off single to be taken from "Planets" is "Tornado", which will be released in the U.K. ONLY on Monday, March 21 and will be available in two formats: CD Digipack and seven-inch vinyl Poster Bag.

Kris Kohls on why the album is called "Planets" and how Luke became a part of ADEMA: "It was just one of those magical things where the planets aligned. One day it's like We dont have a singer anymore. What are we going to do? And we could've packed it in right there, but we believe in the band and we wanted to keep it going and make a quality record. We just kept focused and we knew we'd find someone.

"It's a funny story, actually. I called Luke on his phone. He was in a local band in Bakersfield and I'd never met him, I'd just heard a CD with three songs and I called him, left a message, didn't hear back from him for about two weeks. Well, his cell phone had been turned off because he hadn't paid his bill. Then his band won a local Battle of the Bands contest, so he got paid, turned his phone back on, heard the message from me and called me back and said, 'Of course, I want to come down and try out!'

"Honestly, from day one it was like that brother thing. I dont know how many bands say this, but we can speak 100 percent honestly when we say that the chemistry of our band right now is phenomenal. We feel we can make records for a long time to come. There's no drama in our band anymore. We just want to make music for the fans that love ADEMA. We ve always had the greatest fans in the world and we just want to please them and make them proud of us."
