AEROSMITH Bassist Says New Album Should Come Quickly
May 8, 2006Launch Radio Networks reports: Is AEROSMITH ready to get "Back In The Saddle"? Bassist Tom Hamilton said the band would be back on tour in September, and he told Launch they should be able to bang out a new album fairly easily. "You know, we're being positive and ambitious, and we'll see how much we can get done between now and then," he said. "I don't see any reason why we couldn't — we've got a bunch of material that we really love that we just haven't used in the past, so we can use a few of those as a starting point, and then write a bunch of new ones."
According to People magazine, AEROSMITH will head into the studio to begin working on a new album on May 20. The magazine also reports that lead singer Steven Tyler is recovering from his recent throat surgery by vacationing in Mexico with his new girlfriend, tour promoter Erin Brady. AEROSMITH was forced to cancel a bunch of shows on their spring tour after Tyler suffered a broken blood vessel in his voice box. He recently told RollingStone.com that the injury is all healed.
