AEROSMITH Singer's Fall From The Stage: The Video!

August 6, 2009

Video footage of AEROSMITH singer Steven Tyler falling from the stage at a South Dakota concert Wednesday night (August 5) can be viewed below.

Tyler, 61, was on the stage's catwalk when he fell backward onto a couple of fans. Security moved to help him and the crowd cheered when Tyler got back up. He was airlifted to a local hospital, where he received a few stitches.

"He was good-natured about it," Mike Sanborn, spokesman for the Buffalo Chip Campground, which hosted the outdoor concert, said, according to the Associated Press. "He was in good spirits when he got in the helicopter. He was talking and joking with the physician."

According to CBC News, AEROSMITH's Friday, August 7 concert in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada will go ahead.

A spokesman for Winnipeg's Paquin Entertainment said Tyler was a little banged-up after falling from the stage, but the band will perform all five dates on its Canadian tour.

That includes an outdoor Winnipeg concert Friday night at CanadInns Stadium with ZZ TOP.
