AEROSMITH has confirmed the following South American dates as part of its "Cocked, Locked, Ready To Rock Tour 2010":

May 18 - Caracas, Venezuela - Estacionamiento del poliedro- La Rinconada
May 20 - Bogota, Colombia - Simon Bolivar Park
May 22 - Lima, Peru - Esplandada Monumental
May 25 - Santiago, Chile; Estadio Nacional
May 27 - Buenos Aires, Argentina - Hippordromo San Isidro
May 29 - Sao Paulo, Brazil - Palmeiras

A short video message from the band announcing the tour can be viewed below.

AEROSMITH recently announced a total of 11 shows for its European trip, with stops in Romania, Greece, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy and the Czech Republic added to previously revealed gigs in Sweden, Spain and the U.K.

There's no word on whether the band will re-launch the U.S. trek with ZZ TOP that was scrapped midway through last summer when vocalist Steven Tyler injured himself in a fall from the stage, which began a troubled six-month period for the group.

The singer subsequently announced his intention to take a two-year break from AEROSMITH and focus on a solo project, which in turn led the rest of the band to publicly discuss getting a new frontman.

Tyler entered rehab in December for an addiction to painkillers, and his management and attorneys threatened legal action if AEROSMITH went forward with finding a new singer.
