AFTER FOREVER: 3FM Acoustic Performance Posted Online

August 15, 2007

Holland's female-fronted symphonic metal band AFTER FOREVER performed an acoustic version of the song "Equally Destructive" on the Dutch radio station 3FM yesterday (Tuesday, August 14) during the final hour of the "Giel Beelen" show. Watch the performance at this location.

In other news, AFTER FOREVER guitarist Sander Gommans, who recently took a break from touring activities under doctor's orders following "spells of vertigo and debilitating black-outs, followed or preceded by a migraine," has issued the following update:

"First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who supported me the past months! Just chatting with you, receiving gifts or cards and your very cool emails surely helped me regaining the energy and motivation to return on stage again!

"I would like to thank George, who appeared to be the perfect guy to give you all some grunts straight from hell!!! I enjoyed his live sound and appearance a lot during the AFTER FOREVER shows I attended, and feel extremely proud that he wanted to help us out in this awesome way! I also think the band did an amazing job continuing their shows the way they did, respect!

"Taking a time out after 12 years of 100% devotion wasn't easy for me, but certainly the only right thing to do, and now I feel that I'm ready to get back on stage and play some metal again! I'll start performing on September the 1st again, so be sure I'll also be present during one of the upcoming tours this year."

AFTER FOREVER will embark on a North American tour in October.

AFTER FOREVER's video for its new single, "Energize Me", has been posted online at YouTube.com. The clip was shot in February in Amsterdam, Holland. The "Energize Me" single was released on March 23, featuring the songs "Energize Me" (radio edit),"Energize Me" (album version),"Sweet Enclosure" (non-album track).

AFTER FOREVER's new self-titled album was released in Germany on April 20 via Nuclear Blast Records.
